Chewing your Food

Many of the foods on the Budwig Diet are soft because they are made with soft cheese and ground linseed so you don’t automatically chew them, but chewing gets the salivary enzymes working correctly which it is important for the digestion.

Dr Johanna Budwig recommends each mouthful is swooshed and swirled about in the mouth as if you were chewing it for a few moments before swallowing.
